Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has extolled the Gunners' current team, hailing them as future Premier League champions.

The Italian midfielder joined Arsenal in January when they were on the verge of winning the Premier League title in 2022/23 and even though Arsenal eventually lost out to Manchester City, Jorginho still believes the Gunners can win the title in the future if they continue on their current trajectory.

Arsenal are currently two points behind Manchester City in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign and started off their UEFA Champions League campaign with a convincing victory over PSV Eindhoven, with the former Napoli midfielder believing it is a matter of time before the Gunners claim major honours.
Speaking to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Jorginho opened up about his time at Arsenal, saying, “We need to continue working on the path we have taken. There is a lot of room for improvement, but I think we are on the right path.”
“We’re only at the beginning of the season, there’s a lot to do and it’s never easy. But as I said first, we are on the right path and we have to keep our feet on the ground and work very hard because it is not easy, nothing is easy. We will see in the end where we can get but we have a good chance.”
Jorginho willing to make sacrifices for Superman
Jorginho also spoke about his reduced role in Arsenal compared to his most recent club Chelsea, saying, “If you look at all the teams I’ve been to, I’ve always had to fight to carve out my space. Ever since Sambonifacese when I went on loan to Serie C2 , then I returned to Verona and I didn’t even play there for a month.
“Only at the beginning with Chelsea, I was a starter because I had already done a job in Naples. But even at Napoli when Sarri arrived, I wasn’t the first choice. I like challenges and I’m ready for this too. The most important thing in the end is the team.
The Italian midfield maestro explained how he had been coping as a current back-up option at Arsenal and replied, “You live it in a calmer way because you make choices with more peace of mind in your head. This includes how you react to certain difficulties, to certain moments.
“You know that when you want to play in a certain way and things don’t go the way you want, you take it differently. These years of my career have always helped me.”
He also vowed to help the Gunners in any way that he could, even while being a regular substitute, and even praised the dressing room atmosphere.
“Absolutely yes, like all the players. We have a good, or rather a very good, squad and everyone will have their moment to give their contribution to the team,” Jorginho said.
The 31--year-old Brazil-born, ex-Italy midfielder remains an important part of the Gunners’ team in search of a first Premier League title in 20 seasons.
