AFC Leopards coach Tomas Trucha has warned of tough FKF Premier League games, especially against relegation-threatened teams like Nzoia Sugar.

AFC Leopards head coach Tomas Trucha has expressed his concerns about the potential challenges his team faces as they prepare to host bottom-placed Nzoia Sugar in the upcoming FKF Premier League match.

The crucial encounter, set for Sunday, March 3, at Nyayo National Stadium, sees Ingwe aiming to extend their impressive eight-match unbeaten streak.

However, Trucha is under no illusion about the difficulty of the task ahead, especially against a team fighting for survival.

"There is no easy game in the league. I have said so many times that the FKF Premier League is very competitive, especially now that the teams are fighting not to be relegated. Everybody wants to stay in the league, and Nzoia Sugar is one of these teams," said Trucha.

"They will come, they will fight, and we have to be ready for it. Sometimes, it is easier to play against the big teams and be the underdog than to be the favorite team. But as AFC Leopards, we have to be prepared for Nzoia Sugar after the FKF Cup."

The Sugar Millers, desperate to climb out of the relegation zone, will be looking to secure a much-needed victory.

Despite their previous struggles against Leopards, failing to defeat or even breach their defense in their past three encounters, the team is hopeful for a turnaround in fortunes.

Currently ranked eighth in the 18-team league standings, AFC Leopards have accumulated 31 points from 22 matches.

They find themselves 16 points behind table-toppers and arch-rivals Gor Mahia, a gap they are keen to narrow in the remaining 12 matches of the season.
