World 3000m Steeplechase record holder Beatrice Chepkoech has shifted her focus to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games scheduled for July 26 to August 11 in France.
The newly crowned World 3000m SC silver medallist noted that before she ends the season, she will be competing in the Diamond League Final Meeting in Eugene, USA before taking a break and coming back into training before the Olympic Games.

Beldine Odemba has named the provisional squad for Harambee Starlets crunch WAFCON back-to-back qualifiers against Cameroon.
She has so far been to five Diamond League Meetings including the Meeting in Doha, Qatar where she finished fourth, and the Meeting in Florence, Italy where she finished fourth.
She also competed at the Meeting in Lausanne where she won the race and proceeded to finish second at the Meeting in London. Her latest Meeting was in Zurich where she finished second.
“I’m going to prepare myself for the Olympic Games next year but first I will be going to the Diamond League Meeting Final in Eugene,” Chepkoech said.
She expressed her excitement towards bagging the silver medal after being out for almost two years due to an injury setback. She added that she is not fully recovered but she is progressing well.

As a debutant during last year's edition of the event, Lokedi broke away from the leading pack and sprinted to the finish line to cut the tape in a time of 2:23:23.
“I’m happy to finish on the podium since I have been out since 2019. I’m not 100% recovered yet but I can say I’m 70-75% recovered and progressing well,” she added.
