Five-time world 100m champion Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce has promised a thrilling show at the Kip Keino Classic Competitions slated for May 13 at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani.
Fraser-Pryce will be competing in the 100m race and has promised her fans to expect fast times.
“I am coming back to Nairobi for the Kip Keino Classic. Last year was awesome and fantastic…the fans came to support us and I expect the same year. It was so much fun and I promise that this year is going to be better than that. Expect fast times from me…see you in Nairobi,” she said.
During last year’s edition held on May 7, Fraser-Pryce obliterated the strong field to win the 100m race in a world-leading time of 10.67.

She became the first athlete to ever win five gold medals in a track event at the World Athletics Championships in the same discipline.
Egypt’s Bassant Hemida was second in a personal best time of 11.02 as USA’s Shanon Ray placed third in 11.33. Maximila Imali competing on home soil managed a seventh-place finish in 11.46.
The two-time Olympic 100m champion had announced that she will be kickstarting her track outdoor season at the Botswana Grand Prix on Saturday, April 29.
Last year, during the World Championships in Oregon, she successfully defended her 100m world title and became the first athlete to ever win five gold medals in a track event at the World Athletics Championships in the same discipline.
