Lyles has revealed how team USA will break Jamaica's 4 x 100m relay record after sealing Olympic qualification.

Noah Lyles has rated team US’s chances of setting a new World Record in the 4 by 100m relays at the upcoming Olympic games in Paris, France this August.

USA qualified for the Olympic games nonchalantly after they won their opening heat at the Bahamas World Athletics relays with a time of 37. 49.

Lyles, renowned for his breathtaking performances, anchored the U. men’s 4x100m relay to victory in their heat, setting the stage for a thrilling final on Sunday, where lane draws for the Paris Olympics will be determined.

The current world record stands at 36.84 seconds, which was set by a strong Jamaican team that included legend Usain Bolt back at the 2012 Olympic games in London, England.

Recently, American icon Justin Gatlin described running a sub-37 men’s relay as “a tall order” , but Lyles believes USA can do it, outlining specific conditions they would have to achieve to meet those standards.

“I have always believed that it is not so much the speed (but about) the handoffs. The chemistry we have been producing for the last three weeks has been magical,” Lyles told the media on Saturday.

“ I have never really done handoffs so well. You see the times replicate each time. Today was a perfect example of what that is. It is just about getting faster.”

Lyles ideally wants to work with the team that raced in Bahamas given the chemistry the four teammates have already developed together, including Courtney Lindsey and Kenny Bednarek, the two American athletes who stormed to victory in the 100 and 200m of the last Kip Keino classic at the Nyayo National Stadium.

“I wish we would be in a situation where they would just take us because we already have that chemistry, we live next to each other 15 minutes away so if anything, we know that we can have a good relay no matter what even if none of us make it to the team.”

With a rich history of relay excellence, the US team aims to continue their legacy at the upcoming Paris Olympics, with the final relay pool selection contingent upon individual performances at the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, from June 21-30.
