Starting for Antonio Conte's Napoli in their match against Fiorentina, Hojlund doubled the Italian champions' lead in the 14th minute.

Kevin De Bruyne had opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the sixth minute, and Sam Beukema made it 3-0 in the 51st minute. Fiorentina's late response came in the 79th minute when Luca Ranieri pulled one back, but it wasn't enough, as the match ended 3-1.

Hojlund's goal, ironically scored against United legend, goalkeeper David De Gea, resonated at Old Trafford. "Red Devils" fans celebrated the Dane's success but concluded that their club is "cursed."

The striker has been loaned to Napoli from United for the 2025-2026 season. However, there's an obligation to buy next summer if Napoli qualifies for the Champions League. The price tag is £38 million, approximately €44 million.

In two seasons at Manchester United, Hojlund made 95 appearances across all competitions. During these matches, the Dane managed to score (only) 26 goals and provide six assists, averaging 0.27 goals per game.
