Victor Boniface: Nigerian star named 'best striker' in Bundesliga after second brace
Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has received glowing praise following another remarkable centre-forward display for Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface stole the show as Leverkusen proved to be hostile hosts to SV Darmstadt after a 5-1 thrashing at the BayArena on Saturday.
The Nigerian was in fine form as he netted two goals and assisted another of Bayer’s five goals.

The 22-year-old, who has become a fan favourite at the BayArena, sealed another man-of-the-match display for Xabi Alonso’s men.
He netted a goal in either half against Darmstadt to continue his brilliant start to life at Leverkusen.
It was the second consecutive match that the summer signing had scored two goals after he also grabbed two goals in the 3-0 demolition of Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend.
The Nigerian forward has now taken his tally to four goals and two assists in just three matches for Leverkusen.
Fans praise Boniface
It has been an outpour of encomiums for the young forward after he inspired Leverkusen to another win.
Fans of the club and Bundesliga followers took to Leverkusen’s social media account to react to Boniface’s latest masterclass.
According to them, the Nigerian striker is the best forward in the Bundesliga while others christened him star boy after an inspired display.
There were also calls to the youngster to make his way to Old Trafford, home of Premier League giants Manchester United.
