Last week, a letter allegedly from a section of the club's fanbase began circulating on social media, issuing a stern warning to the technical bench.

The notice, addressed to head coach Fred Ambani, his assistant Kenneth Wendo, and trainer Vincent Mbwavi, demanded a turnaround in results within two matches or face being forced out.

The first of those two games ended in a goalless draw against Bandari FC on Wednesday, October 15, at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, further intensifying the pressure on the team.

However, speaking after the match, assistant coach Kenneth Wendo denied any knowledge of an official warning.

"So far, I have not received any official letter on any ultimatums," Wendo stated as quoted by Mozzart Sport. "These are unnecessary pressures that I would not comment on."

Despite dismissing the rumoured ultimatum, Kenneth Wendo acknowledged the frustration among the club's passionate fanbase and addressed the team's early-season struggles.

"Three matches without a win is a concern for fans who are passionate about this team, and so we just have to work hard and win for them to bring joy and value for money," he explained.

Kenneth Wendo pointed to defensive improvements but admitted the attack was now the primary concern.

"We have been unlucky. In the first two matches, we scored and also conceded. The problem was the defence, which we have worked on as we were compact against Bandari. The problem now is that we did not create enough chances or convert the few we had," he said.

"Good things take time, but we will keep working. We have been playing well. We just have to score and win matches."

The 1998 champions have yet to secure a victory in their opening three league fixtures. Kenneth Wendo noted that the upcoming league break, prompted by the passing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, offers a timely opportunity for the team to regroup.
