Manchester United maintained their 100 per cent record in the preseason with another outstanding display against Arsenal at MetLife Stadium.

United defeated the Gunners 2-0 in regular time and followed it up with another 5-3 win in the penalty shootout.

Despite being a friendly game, this was a highly anticipated encounter between the Premier League giants.

United stoked up emotions before kickoff when the club posted the message “We don’t play friendly games” on their social media platforms moments before the game got underway.

However, in the end, Erik Ten Hag’s Red Devils walked the talk led by new captain Bruno Fernandes who started his reign in style.

The Portuguese superstar opened the scoring with a fantastic left-footed strike in his first game in preseason before Jason Sancho made it 2-0 with another outstanding goal seven minutes later.

Both teams made a raft of changes in the second half but United held on for the win in normal time before going on to seal another via penalty shoutout.

After the game, United and football fans took to their social media account to troll the Gunners.

They showed no mercy to Arsenal’s new boy Jurrien Timber and star defender, William Saliba whose mistake led to United’s second goal.
