Julius Yego Fires Into Javelin Final With Huge First Throw at World Athletics Championships

In the first group, Germany's Julian Webber was in great shape as he qualified for the final, clearing 87.21m as Poland's Dawid Wegner came in second in a personal best time of 85.67m. Neeraj Chopra also made the final after coming in third in 84.85m.
