‘I Want to Be the Man She Fell in Love With’ - Why Noah Lyles is Planning New Look Ahead of Wedding to Junelle Bromfield
American sprinter Noah Lyles is known to go to great lengths to make his woman Junelle Bromfield happy and he has shared another heartwarming thing he is set to do for her.
Lyles and Bromfield have been engaged since October 2024 and they are planning to wed on April 4, 2026, having moved in together since their highly publicized engagement.
The Olympics 100m champion had a great outing at the 2025 World Athletics Championships where he defended his 200m crown, joining Usain Bolt as the only men to have won it four times, but missed the 100m crown as he had to settle for bronze behind Jamaican duo Oblique Seville and Kishane Thompson.

The American is known to rile rivals with his looks and outspokenness and he came to Tokyo with blonde long hair similar to what he spotted at the 2022 World Championships, where he also won gold in 200m, and observers thought it was a way of getting onto the nerves of rivals but he says that is far from it.

"A lot of people swore that I was playing mind games, but this is not the mind games. I promise you, you will know when I am playing mind games, it would be a long stronger like a flash," Lyles told The Inside Lane.
Lyles then revealed that he dyed his hair because he knew it would be a short-lived adventure as he is planning to cut it soon to look good for Bromfield during the wedding after his Jamaican fiancée confessed to have liked him well trimmed.
Why is Lyles Planning to Cut his Hair?
“I dyed my hair for two reasons. One is Junelle said she fell in love with me with short hair so I am planning to cut my hair,” said Lyles.
“And I would say will never dye my hair again unless I was planning to cut it soon after. So I am planning to cut my hair for the wedding. The blonde is my aurovoir to the long hair for now.
“I want to be the man that she fell in love with for the wedding so I feel it is a small sacrifice.”
Lyles’ sentiments earned him praise from fans online who have lauded him for setting the standards when it comes to showing true love and affection.
