American sprinter Melissa Jefferson-Wooden is in awe of what has been a great season for her following an impressive campaign that ended with three gold medals in Tokyo.
Jefferson-Wooden was the most successful athlete at the 2025 World Championships where she won three gold medals in 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay, completing a great campaign in style.
It was not just at the World Championships but the American remained unbeaten throughout the season in 100m with her gold medal heroics just confirming her status as the new queen of sprints.

Looking back at her season, the 24-year-old is grateful that she is now part of an exclusive club of athletes who conquered their disciplines more than once at a single championship.

The American made history by becoming only the fourth woman to win both 100m and 200m at the same World Championships, and the first-ever from her country, while she joined Jamaican great Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce as the only athletes who claimed 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay gold medals at the Worlds.
Jefferson-Wooden has dominated her races starting with her three victories at Grand Slam Track, before extending to the Diamond League, where she won the 100m title, before conquering Tokyo.
She will be among the star names at the second edition of ATHLOS, a women’s only track event, set to be held on October 10 in New York where she is hot favourite to claim the 100m crown.
