Harambee Stars will be looking to be second nation to qualify for quarter-finals of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) when they face Morocco in a high-stakes Group A clash on Sunday evening.
Kenya enter the fixture brimming with confidence after an unbeaten start to their campaign — a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Democratic Republic of Congo last Sunday followed by a resilient 1-1 draw against Angola on Thursday, despite playing with 10 men for over 70 minutes.

Those results have propelled the Stars to the summit of Group A with four points from two matches, placing them firmly in control of their qualification destiny.
Morocco, who are second with three points but have played just once, will be a formidable opponent. The North African side showed their quality in a commanding 2-0 victory over Angola last weekend and will be eager to make it two wins from two.
A win for Kenya will take them to seven points, mathematically guaranteeing a place in the quarter-finals regardless of other results, as only one other team could surpass their tally. That would make them the second nation to book a ticket to the last eight after hosts Algeria secured qualification on Friday.
However, anything less than victory will keep the race alive until the final round of group fixtures. A draw would still leave Harambee Stars in pole position, but defeat would throw the group wide open with DR Congo and Angola also chasing qualification.
