Haaland opened the scoring by providing an assist for Felix Myrhe's early goal before taking over the show himself. The City striker netted a first-half hat-trick in just 32 minutes, putting the hosts firmly in control.

Haaland wasn't finished, adding two more goals in the second half. His performance took his international tally to a staggering 48 goals from 45 appearances.

Thelo Asgaard, a second-half substitute, also made a major impact, scoring four goals to add to Moldova's misery.

Despite a late own goal by Leo Ostigard for the visitors, the night belonged to Norway and their star striker, Haaland, who delivered the perfect preparation ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby.
