Muthaiga Golf Club’s Greg Snow emerged victorious at the second leg of the Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) Equator Tour, held at Limuru Country Club.
Snow credited his win to consistent play and dedicated practice.
This marks Snow's first victory on the newly established Tour, designed to prepare Kenyan professionals for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Snowy Masterclass
Despite a bogey on the 17th and a triple bogey on the 12th, Snow finished with a 12-under-par 276 across 72 holes, two strokes ahead of Windsor’s Njoroge Kibugu.
“Since the launch of the Sunshine Development Tour East Africa Swing and the PGK Equator Tour, we’ve been playing regularly, which has significantly improved our performance. This also means putting in extra practice hours to compete effectively,” Snow commented after his win according to Nation Sports.
He also praised the excellent condition of the Limuru course, noting its contribution to the strong scores posted by many players.
“To prepare for major events like the Magical Kenya Open, we need courses comparable to Muthaiga. Limuru’s condition allowed everyone to play well, resulting in the impressive scores we saw,” he added.
Snow started the day strongly with three birdies and an eagle, reaching 16-under-par at one point.
A bogey on the ninth and a triple bogey on the par-four 12th posed a challenge, but he recovered with two late birdies to finish the final round with a two-under-par 70, following earlier rounds of 68, 67, and 71.
His performance would have placed him among the top four contenders in a tournament like the Magical Kenya Open.
Snow Eyes More Laurel
Snow, whose victory earned him Sh201,000 and 1,000 points, now leads the PGK Equator Tour Order of Merit with 13,301 points.
He looks forward to competing in the upcoming Sunshine Development Tour (East Africa Swing) events at Nyali Golf Club and Diamonds Leisure in Diani.
“I’m ready for the back-to-back events in the next two weeks,” he stated.
Kibugu also shot a two-under-par 70, finishing at 10-under-par 278 and earning Sh165,000 and 600 points, bringing his Order of Merit total to 1,100.
Kibugu, who recently returned from a two-week injury layoff, attributed his strong performance to the Limuru course and the high level of competition.
“I knew winning here required serious golf because everyone is playing well,” he said, expressing anticipation for the Nyali and Leisure Lodge events.
First-round leader Mohit Mediratta carded a four-under-par 68 to finish third at eight-under-par 280.
