However, one of the comments from those who wished Allegra a happy birthday revealed the fears of the 47-year-old tactician as his daughter begins a new chapter when she will soon transition into adulthood.

The former Manchester United first-team coach then went into details over how he is not ready to deal with all the drama that comes with parenting children of that age.

“Please don’t let me freak out like that Magali. Not ready yet. Hope you guys are amazing,” McCarthy responded.

Allegra is one of McCarthy’s five children and she is one of three that he shares with his ex-wife Maria Santos from Spain.

The South Africa football legend is currently married to his Scottish wife Stacey Munro with whom they have two children.

McCarthy is currently busy with Harambee Stars who are in camp preparing for the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN 2024) which will take place between August 2 and 30 in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Kenya are in a tough Group A that includes Morocco and DR Congo, who have each won the competition twice, Zambia and Angola.
