Kulabu praised their new colours as ones that set the highest standards in rugby apparel.

1983 Kenya Cup champions Mwamba RFC have unveiled their new kits ahead of the National Sevens Circuit campaign.

In conjunction with their sports apparel manufacturing company, Mwamba have made public their new colours which they describe as 'blending the essence of tradition with cutting-edge'.

"Mwamba Rugby Football Club, affectionately known as Kulabu, has been a pillar of Kenyan rugby since its establishment in 1977," the club said in a post that accompanied their new jerseys.

"Born out of a desire to promote the game among indigenous Kenyans during a time when it was predominantly dominated by others, Mwamba Rugby has become a symbol of resilience and inclusivity."

Mwamba also explained what inspired them in designing the new jerseys; "As Mwamba launch their new 7’s kit, they pay homage to their heritage while embracing the possibilities of the future.

"The new kit, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, sets the highest standards in rugby apparel. It seamlessly blends performance-enhancing features with a touch of style, capturing the essence of the club’s identity."

According to Kulabu, the new jersey is technologically advanced and is aimed at helping the players perform at their optimal levels.

"The Performex fabric used to manufacture the kit is so technically advanced, this fully functional fabric not only makes the players feel great, but its optimal airflow also keeps the body cool to enhance overall performance."

The new jersey, coupled with the return of Steve Sikuta, who played a crucial role in their second-place finish in 2019, is expected to boost their morale ahead of the 7s circuit.
