GENERAL Korir, Njagua take oath as CAS's of the Ministry of Youth Affairs Arts and Sports

Korir, a two-time Los Angeles marathon champion, promised to use his experience to build sports.

Newly appointed Chief Administrative Secretaries of the Ministry of Youth Affairs Arts and Sports Wesley Korir and Charles Njagua alias Jaguar have been today morning, March 23, been officially sworn in by President William Ruto alongside 48 others.

Korir and Njagua during the session, both pledged to be faithful to the Republic and serve the people to the fullest.

In a post on his Twitter account, Korir, a two-time Los Angeles Marathon champion expressed his gratitude upon being appointed. He revealed that having been an athlete, he will use his experience to serve the athletes in the country.

“Sports is my passion, it made me who I am today and I look forward to using my experiences, the ups, and downs to serve as CAS,” he said.

On March 19, Korir joined athletes in Kapsabet with the aim of having them air out their grievances and devise ways on how the government can serve them best.

“This morning, while waiting for President William Ruto to arrive in Kapsabet for Sunday prayers, I joined runners for a cup of tea at their training camp to listen to how the government can serve them best. I really look forward to serving and listening,” Korir tweeted.

On his part, Njagua also expressed gratitude to the government upon his nomination.

“I would like to thank President William Ruto, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for your trust in me by nominating me for the position of CAS Youth and Sports, the entire UDA administration for the tireless efforts that have put in place to streamline the government,” he tweeted.
