They secured big wins in the first and second legs of the KVF National Women's League.

Kenya Pipeline Company coach Paul Gitau is keen to end the Kenya Volleyball Federation National Women’s league unbeaten.

The veteran coach led the team to clinch the 2022/2023 title after an entertaining match against African Champions Kenya Commercial Bank.

“If they better their game from where we are, definitely going unbeaten is a possibility. This is how I see things. My team is improving every other time,” he said.

He added that they have improved on their serving skills and continue to work on their blocks. He revealed that attack is their strong hold and if they get all other things right, they will definitely be a team to be feared.

The Oilers kicked-off the season on a high securing big wins in both the first and second legs of the league.

In the first leg, they thrashed Nairobi Prisons in straight sets before defeating Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) 3-1. The second leg saw them secure big wins over Nairobi Water (3-0) and Kenya Army (3-0).

Gitau also insisted on giving the young players chances to play. He noted that he is thrilled by the competition on the field and how the young players are challenged to think their own.

“In case of an opportunity, I always want to give the young players the chance o play. Their tomorrow is very bright,” he said.
