Solberg’s return to the Rally1 category adds a fascinating twist to the championship narrative.
Despite his WRC2 success, the Swede has made no secret of his ambition to re-establish himself at the sport’s pinnacle.
Estonia will be his proving ground, not only to show he retains the pace needed against elite opposition but also to reinforce his case for a permanent Rally1 drive in 2026.
While Solberg focuses on this high-profile outing, the WRC2 title battle remains wide open. Yohan Rossel, who has claimed two victories from five starts, sits just behind Solberg in the standings, while Gus Greensmith holds third with one win.

Rally Estonia runs from 17 – 20 July and will mark a milestone moment in Solberg’s career as he looks to cement his place among the WRC’s elite once more.
