Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy has handed Poland-based Timothy Ouma a call-up for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Gambia and Seychelles.
Harambee Stars midfielder Timothy Ouma is among those called up to the squad by head coach Benni McCarthy ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifiers.
Ouma is one of those who have earned early call-ups to the national team for the matches against The Gambia and Seychelles as Benni McCarthy’s men seek to maintain their momentum from the CHAN 2024 tournament.
The midfielder will link up with the team again, since March this year, when he was involved in the World Cup qualifiers against The Gambia and Gabon.

Harambee Stars will be facing both Gambia and Seychelles in crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers on home soil following their CHAN 2024 exploits.
At the time, he started on the bench in the 3-3 draw against Johnathan McKinstry’s men, before getting selected into the starting XI in the 2-1 loss to Gabon.
Ouma Getting Gametime this Season
Ouma is getting gametime this season after joining Polish club Lech Poznan on a season-long loan from Czech giants Slavia Prague, where he had found opportunities limited since his Ksh473 million transfer from Swedish side Elfsborg in January.
Since joining the club, Ouma has made eight appearances in all competitions, including two in the league, and four in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
