Tammy Abraham has been ruled out of action until the end of the year after suffering a horrible ankle injury during Roma’s last game of the season.

Only days after their tense Europa League final loss to Sevilla, Roma sealed their place in Europe for the upcoming season with a tense 2-1 victory over Spezia.

Roma's victory appeared to have come at a great cost as Abraham was forced off the game after landing awkwardly on his ankle.

The Englishman challenged for the ball with an opponent when the unfortunate incident occurred ruling him out till the end of the year.

Abraham out with a lengthy injury

The Roma striker has been confirmed out till the end of the year with no specific date for his return.

Abraham's clumsy fall affected his leg because he leaned in too far before sliding and then spun around while screaming in agony in midair.

The former Chelsea player was wheeled away by a medical team while holding his head in his hands as he was unable to continue the game.

According to Journalist Romano who gave an update on the injury, he tweeted, "Bad news for Tammy Abraham. It's an ACL injury for the English striker in the final game of the season with AS Roma.

Sky Sports also reported the news, saying, "Waiting for club statement indications, that he’d be out until the end of the year, November/December."

Two years after leaving Chelsea, Abraham might have a chance to play in the Premier League again, but an injury of that sort would put a stop to that.

Abraham monitored by Everton

Everton are said to be monitoring Abraham’s progress at Roma and were looking to bring him back to the Premier League.

Abraham has been linked with a move to several clubs in Europe and Premier League with Man United and Aston Villa looking to sign a striker in the transfer window.

Abraham has made 75 appearances and scored 25 goals for Roma and also, helping them win the Europa Conference League in 2022 and reach the final of the Europa League in 2022.

However, his recent lengthy injury might be a stumbling block for a transfer back to the Premier League or any side across Europe in the summer.
