Sour Grapes? Liverpool Airport Aims Brutal Dig at Trent Alexander-Arnold After Real Madrid Transfer
Liverpool John Lennon Airport poked fun at Trent Alexander-Arnold's recent travel arrangements, sparking amusement among fans online.
The airport's official X account highlighted the irony of Alexander-Arnold departing from Manchester Airport, rather than their own facilities in Liverpool, for his unveiling at Real Madrid last week.
The airport quoted Alexander-Arnold's video of his private jet departure, adding a cheeky jab about his choice of airport.

Alexander-Arnold Due to Make Madrid Debut
While Liverpool John Lennon Airport does offer private jet services, Manchester Airport is significantly larger and busier, handling considerably more passengers than its Merseyside counterpart.
In fact, Manchester Airport is the busiest airport in the North West and the third busiest in the UK after Heathrow and Gatwick, serving over 30 million passengers in 2024 – over six times more than Liverpool.
Alexander-Arnold's move to Real Madrid was expedited by three weeks thanks to the Spanish club's willingness to pay a fee to Liverpool and FIFA's special transfer window provision. He could make his debut for Los Blancos as early as this Wednesday in their Club World Cup opener against Al-Hilal.
