The former SoNy Sugar manager was far from pleased with some aspects of his side's draw with Ulinzi.

Kenya Police FC head coach Francis Baraza has given his honest assessment on why things went against his plan during their 1-1 draw with Ulinzi Stars, which dented their hopes of closing the gap on league leaders Tusker.

Police were frustrated to a draw thanks to giving a foul away in a dangerous area, and conceding from a set-piece situation, and Baraza has given his assessment of the predicament.

“We have to be focused and committed. I will try and push the players into gaining more confidence as we try to fight to the end. The league is not done,” the 2006 league-winning manager with SoNy Sugar said.

The Law Enforcers possess the second-best defensive record, conceding 18 times, and have the best goalscoring record in the league, scoring 48 goals. They have the best goal difference of any league side, but Baraza is far from convinced.

“We need to work on defending set-pieces better. We need to stop giving needless fouls in dangerous areas.

“I have diagnosed my defense and midfield and believe that “the disease” is upfront as well because we must learn how to finish our dinner better. Our finishing is very wanting.”

Police will face Posta Rangers in their next league fixture on Saturday, June 3.
