According to multiple reports when he signed, Qatar SC took a step to protect themselves when they handed Tau the contract, which stipulated that he will be at the club for six months but the two-year option will only be taken if he impresses in Doha.
Part of it was that Tau was to help the team achieve safety in the Qatar Stars League as they were second from bottom when he arrived and he was also to show his attacking qualities by scoring key goals.

Why Marseille Fans Want Former Manchester United Star Mason Greenwood Out
Marseille fans have seen enough of Mason Greenwood and here is why the former Manchester United forward could quit the Ligue 1 club.
Now, with the Qatar Stars League ending on Friday, Qatar SC have already achieved safety as they cannot be caught by 11th-placed Umm Salal in the 12-team league, sitting 10th with 23 points, while the second from bottom team have 18.
However, for Tau, there are still questions over whether he has done enough to deserve an extension of his big-money deal for two more seasons.
Since joining in January, the "Lion of Judah,” as he is popularly known, has played eight matches but he has no goal, although he has provided four assists.
A lot of Qatar SC fans would have expected to see Tau find the back of the net but he has not done so and whether four assists will be considered good enough for a contract extension is something the club will have to decide, although some view it as an underwhelming spell so far.
Tau is already attracting interest in Egypt just four months after leaving with reports in the North African country suggesting that Al Ahly’s bitter rivals Zamalek are weighing up the possibility of luring him to the club.
