)
Speaking candidly in a recent interview with Soccer Beat on YouTube, Josephs, a former Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, expressed frustration with the club’s recent managerial approach.
“The foundation has been laid for the next coach to come in and go and win us this league, not to go and rebuild,” Josephs asserted.
“The players that we got, we have enough quality there in our squad to go and win this league. We just need the right leader to go and take us there.”
Josephs emphasized that Orlando Pirates, one of South Africa’s most storied football clubs, can no longer afford patience or long-term experiments.
“We’ve been speaking too long about every coach that comes in wanting to rebuild. That is important, yes but now we need someone who is all about winning. You’re building nothing. This team has been built for you to take to the next level.”
