CHAN 2024: Kenya, Uganda And Tanzania Find Out Opener And Final Matches Hosting Fate

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the host venues for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), that will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda.

Scheduled to run from August 2nd to 30th, 2025, the tournament will kick off at Tanzania’s Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam and conclude with the final at Kenya’s iconic Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.

Uganda's Mandela Stadium will host the third-place match, while Zanzibar’s Amaan Stadium, fresh from hosting the 2025 CAF Confederation Cup final, joins the list.

Group Stage Clashes Sets Stage for Fierce Regional Battles

CAF has also confirmed the group stage breakdown across the four venues, promising exciting continental clashes.

Group A whose clashes are to be held in Nairobi's Kasarani and Nyayo Stadiums features hosts Kenya alongside Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, and Zambia.

Group B whose matches are to be held Dar es Salaam's Benjamin Mkapa includes Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic.

Group C whose matches will feature Kampala's Nelson Mandela stadium pits Uganda against Niger, Guinea, South Africa, and Algeria.

Group D's clashes will be hosted in Zanzibar's Amaan stadium with Senegal, Congo, who were added after a CAF Appeals Board decision replacing Equatorial Guinea, Sudan, and Nigeria.
