Kenya Police and Nairobi United will face Al-Hilal and Etoile du Sahel in the next round of CAF inter-club competitions but what is at stake if they make it to the group stages?
Kenya Police and Nairobi United have an opportunity to boost their coffers significantly if they maneuver their way to the group stage of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
Police, the Kenyan champions, landed a tough draw against Sudan giants Al-Hilal while Nairobi United have their work cut out against 11-time Tunisian champion Etoile di Sahel, home to Harambee Stars defender Alphonce Omija.
That will see Police face Al-Hila in the Champions League second preliminary round while Naibois take on Etoile du Sahel in the Confederation Cup second preliminary round.

How Much Is at Stake at the Group Stages?
If each of them win the two-legged tie, then they will secure a place in the group stages and here is where the big money is.
Group stage qualification now attracts a minimum of $700,000 (Ksh90 million) for Champions League teams while $400,000 (Ksh51 million) goes to Confederation Cup sides.
It means Police could walk away with at least Ksh90 million, if they negotiate their way past Al-Hilal and make it to the group stages, while Nairobi United could pocket at least Ksh51 million, if they pull off an upset against two-time winners Etoile du Sahel.

Champions League winners will go home with $4 million (Ksh516 million).
Meanwhile, Confederation Cup quarter-finalists will each take home $550,000 (Ksh71 million), semi-finalists $750,000 (Ksh97 million), runners-ups $1 million (Ksh129 million) as winners pocket $2 million (Ksh258 million).
