Migori Youth FC has partnered with a US college to offer football scholarships targeting talented Kenyan youths for development and educational opportunities.

National Super League (NSL) side Migori Youth FC has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative that promises to transform the futures of aspiring footballers in Kenya.

In a significant move aimed at nurturing young talent, the Migori-based club has announced a partnership with Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky, USA, to host a recruitment drive this Friday for gifted footballers from Migori and surrounding areas.

The initiative targets players who have recently completed high school within the past two years or those who are still in education, providing them with an unparalleled opportunity to further their football careers and academic pursuits in the United States.

"Are you a young gifted football player looking to pursue your football development and dream in the USA?" the club posed in its announcement, signaling a call to action for talented youths in the region.

This collaboration is part of Migori Youth's broader mission to empower disadvantaged and overlooked young players aged 10-25.

By focusing on both soccer and life skills training, the program aims to uplift participants, their families, and the community, fostering social change and peace through the beautiful game.

Currently holding the sixth position in the league standings with 33 points from 21 games, Migori Youth FC is not just competing on the field but also making strides off it.

Founded sixteen years ago in the wake of post-election violence that affected parts of Western Kenya, the club has been steadfast in its commitment to grooming talents and unifying communities.
