Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga has attracted interest from a Middle East club as he weighs multiple offers coming his way after his departure from Al Duhail.

Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga continues to receive offers from Asian clubs following his departure from Qatari club Al Duhail.

Olunga is looking for a new club after his hugely successful four-and-a-half-year spell in Doha where he left as Al Duhail’s all-time top scorer with 130 goals but it seems like he will not take long before he finds a new home.

With reports last week suggesting Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds are keen on him, now there is interest from United Arab Emirates club Al Nasr SC.

The club, who have won the UAE Pro League three times, are based in Dubai and are keen to add the striker to their squad after finishing sixth in the league last season with hopes of an improved performance in 2025-26.

Olunga’s goal scoring exploits with Al Duhail both in Qatar and on the continent in the Asian Champions League have made him an attractive prospect for teams in the Middle East and the two clubs might not be the only ones to express interest before he finally decides which offer best suits him.

Meanwhile as Olunga looks for a fresh challenge, Al Duhail have already unveiled his replacement after signing Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek on a three-year contract.

The former AC Milan and Fiorentina forward, who attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal during his time in Italy, has joined Al Duhail for a reported €10 million and has big boots to fill after Olunga left a huge mark by breaking the club’s scoring record.
