Manchester United are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for a key target after getting ahead of the queue in the race for his signature amid interest from Premier League rivals.
Manchester United are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for their first summer signing following positive talks over the signing of a forward from a Premier League club.
The player in question is Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha, who plays for Wolves, and has also been the subject of interest from Premier League clubs Arsenal and Newcastle United.
Now, according to the Dailymail, United have gotten ahead of the queue in the race for Cunha’s signature and the player seems to have been convinced that Old Trafford is the place to advance his career after holding talks with coach Ruben Amorim.

John Korir Reflects on Early Fall and Stunning Comeback to Win Boston Marathon
John Korir overcame an early fall and injury to win the Boston Marathon with a courageous, record-breaking run.
Amorim was seen in discussions with Cunha at the tunnel at Old Trafford on Sunday, when his team lost 1-0 to Wolves, and he also had talks with the player at Molineux.
Cunha has a release clause of £62.5 million which United want to activate next month to stay in line with Profit and Sustainability Rules with the forward able to play as a second striker or on the left wing which will add goals to Amorim’s team.
Cunha has 14 goals and four assists in the Premier League this season, more than any of United’s forwards, and will be a great addition to a squad lacking in quality and a forward line that has missed several chances.
