The Croatian, who is returning to the touchline for the first time in three matches after serving a three-match ban, has slammed the nature of Gor Mahia’s closely packed fixtures.

"We don't have too much time for preparation because of the tight fixture. Right? So today (Wednesday) we have this one training. The last one was recovery," said Mihic in the build-up to their clash with Sharks.

"We already know what we have to do every game. So, no last aspect of the game, and we are ready, but we have to make some changes in the team because the fixture schedule is very tight," he added, noting the need to rotate the squad.

Mihic's charges were in action on Sunday against Mara Sugar, winning 4-0.

Their next two upcoming fixtures mean the defending champions will play three consecutive matches within the span of eight days.

"We play Thursday, then we have to travel immediately for the Shabana game. Right? So we need to be clever about how we'll manage the players because it's not possible," bemoaned Mihic.

"That will be the fifth game in fifteen days. So we should adapt, but I think it's not good because we have no time," he added.

"I would like to meet this person who make decision why we should play tomorrow and Sunday. Because immediately you give the advantage to another team. Right? Immediately."

Mihic's Return

The Croatian will be a welcome figure on the touchline for K'Ogalo.

Mihic has been serving a ban that saw his assistant, Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno, take the reins for the last three fixtures.

This came amid wrangles with his technical bench of Otieno, team manager Victor Nyaoro, and Michael Nam.

Mihic and his backroom staff have previously been at loggerheads, prompting intervention from Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier.

Now back on the touchline and reportedly having reconciled with his technical bench, Mihic will hope to guide K'Ogalo through a congested patch of fixtures as they compete on both fronts in the FKF Cup and the league.
