Kenyan defender looks set for a return to Nairobi as speculation surrounds her future after leaving Tanzanian side.

Kenya International Foscah Kanenge has bid farewell to Tanzania Women's Premier League side Yanga Princesses, just a year after joining the club on a long-term deal in July 2022.

Kanenge's departure is part of a broader exodus that has seen 13 players sever their ties with the Dar es Salaam-based team.

Yanga Princesses made the official announcement of Kanenge's departure through their Instagram account, leaving fans wondering about the future of this talented defender.

Kanenge, who previously showcased her skills at the FKF Women’s Premier League side Zetech Sparks, had made the highly-anticipated move to the Tanzanian league, but her stint has ended prematurely.

Speculation is rife that Kanenge might be plotting a return to her homeland, Kenya, to don the colors of Police Bullets FC.

Kanenge is not the only Kenyan player who has recently exited the Tanzania Women's Premier League, either through loans or contract terminations.

The league has witnessed a significant reshuffling of Kenyan talent, with forwards Corazone Aquino and Topister Situma also making headlines.

Simba Queens loaned out Corazone Aquino to the Burundian side Buja Queens, marking a bold move for the promising forward.

On the other hand, Topister Situma's journey took a different trajectory. Situma, who was previously with Simba Queens, was released by the club, but she wasted no time finding a new home in Burundi, where she joined Buja on a short-term deal.

However, the trio will be expecting to be part of the Harambee Starlets squad for the upcoming 2024 Africa Women's Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cameroon.
