Gor Mahia's unbeaten streak under coach McKinstry intimidates rivals, as they aim for more trophies and maintain their dominant position.

Despite maintaining an unbeaten run since the start of the season, Gor Mahia head coach Johnathan McKinstry has sent a stern warning to their FKF Premier League rivals, stating that the best is yet to come from his team.

Gor Mahia, currently leading the standings with 34 points from 17 games, secured their latest victory in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Posta Rangers last weekend courtesy of a decisive goal from Kennedy Onyango.

McKinstry, while expressing satisfaction with the team's performance, remains cautious, ahead of their upcoming game aganist Kariobangi Sharks.

"It makes every game more difficult because teams don't need extra motivation to up their game against Gor. They treat each match like a cup final, aiming to make a significant impact by defeating us," he said.

The last time Gor Mahia experienced defeat was in June, marking a six-month period of dominance in the league.

"This long run just adds to the difficulty of each game. But the rarity of such a streak is what makes it special. Our focus is on accumulating more points and extending our lead. At the end of the season, it's all about the trophies, and we're on a good path to achieve that," McKinstry added.

In a surprising move, McKinstry benched Benson Omala, the league's top scorer, in the match against Rangers.

The decision paid off, as Gor Mahia not only won the match but also extended their lead at the top to seven points, with Posta Rangers now trailing behind.

Omala, who later replaced Bryson Wangai in the game, was met with applause from fans, signifying their support for the coach's strategic choices.

McKinstry highlighted the psychological aspect of their current run.

"Every opponent sees us as a major scalp. It's like a cup final for them every time they face us. This only adds pressure, but we thrive under it. It's a testament to our team's resilience that we've kept this unbeaten streak for over six months," he explained.

The coach also reflected on the significance of their ongoing success.

"If our streak ends tomorrow, we'll be disappointed, but we'll also recognize it as a remarkable achievement. Our ultimate goal, however, remains unchanged - to win as many trophies as possible. We're on the right track, and our aim is to keep extending our lead," McKinstry added.

The victory over Posta Rangers, a team that started the season strongly, is a testament to Gor Mahia's solid performance and McKinstry's tactical acumen.

The outcome of the match extended Gor Mahia's lead at the top of the league table by seven points, leaving their rivals, the Mailmen, trailing behind as they attempt to regain the top position they had previously held.

As the season unfolds, the anticipation and excitement surrounding Gor Mahia's performance continue to grow.

Fans eagerly await each match, wondering whether the formidable team will maintain their undefeated status.

The pressure from rival clubs to be the first to defeat Gor Mahia only adds to the intensity of every game.
