A former Manchester United boss has had to undergo emergency surgery after his first operation went wrong on a troublesome ankle.
Former Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick has been rushed to hospital for an emergency surgery after his first one did not go well.
Rangnick, who managed United on an interim basis for six months from December 2021 to May 2022, following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is currently the Austria national team coach and is hoping to lead them to the 2026 World Cup.
According to The Sun, wear and tear in his ankle forced him into a routine operation and he returned home in Salzburg afterwards to continue his recovery.
