If the deal is finalized, Ochan will carry with him a wealth of experience into the NEC set-up, having played at the top level for a while now.

As KCCA FC struggle to find a lasting solution in between the posts, their former captain and goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan is making a move to a new Startimes Uganda Premier League side.

The shot-stopper is reported to be close to signing a short-term contract with newly promoted side NEC FC to run until the end of the season.

Sources revealed to Pulse Sport that the custodian is expected to join the Bugolobi-based side, with the club now waiting for clearance from FUFA.

NEC find themselves in a tricky situation, with Samson Kiirya as the only fit goalkeeper at the moment.

Michael Okiria Michael and Ismail Maganda, the other options for Hussein Mbalangu’s charges, are currently out injured.

If the deal is finalized, Ochan will carry with him a wealth of experience into the NEC set-up, having played at the top level for a while now.

The 34-year-old was released by KCCA FC after the expiry of his contract last season and has been a free agent since.

Having featured for teams like KCCA FC, Bloemfontein Celtic, Villa SC, Victoria University SC, Kabwe Warriors and AFC Leopards, Ochan is tried and tested at the top level.

NEC are currently sixth on the UPL log, with six points from the first three games of the season.
