Duncan Otieno rejoins Kenya Police FC from Gaborone United bolstering the team mid-season after a stint in Botswana football.

Harambee Stars midfielder Duncan Otieno is set to don the Kenya Police FC jersey once more, marking a significant mid-season acquisition for the club.

This return comes after a stint with Gaborone United in Botswana, where Otieno proved to be an indispensable asset, contributing immensely to the team's near triumph in securing the last season's league title.

Otieno's return to the South C-based side is enveloped in high expectations, especially after his influential role during his previous tenure with the club.

"Duncan Otieno is back," the club announced, signaling a promising phase for the team.

Before his foray into Botswana's football scene in August 2022, Otieno had a fruitful period with Kenya Police FC, showcasing his adaptability by performing various roles in midfield and defense.

His ability to adjust to the tactical demands of different coaches played a pivotal role in fortifying the team's defensive structure.

Otieno's football narrative took a compelling turn in 2014 when he emerged as a promising talent at AFC Leopards.

His performance in the KPL U19 tournament caught the attention of many, leading to his promotion to the senior squad in the same year.

His journey saw him grace the fields for notable teams such as Posta Rangers, Nkana, and Power Dynamos in Zambia before his tenure with Gaborone United.

Despite his extensive club commitments, Otieno has not been a stranger to the national scene.

He was a part of the Harambee Stars squad called up for the World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Seychelles.
