Djed Spence has opened up about Tottenham backup goalkeeper and the qualities he possesses.

Harambee Stars prospect Djed Spence believes Tottenham backup goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky is a better shot-stopper than current first choice Guglielmo Vicario.

Spence's revelations come after he scored an own goal in the 4-2 dreadful loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League match played at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday.

Vicario, 28, failed to cover himself in glory for two of the four goals that Tottenham Hotspur conceded at Molineux, with his part in Djed Spence’s own goal being nothing short of calamitous.

What Djed Spence Said

Spence felt Vicario should have done better and believes Kinsky brings composure that is needed especially when under pressure.

The full-back said about Kinsky on the Premier League’s YouTube channel: “He brings composure. As a keeper, he’s very good with the ball, so I think that’s one of his main strengths as well.”

Despite being part of Ange Postecoglou's leadership group at Spurs, Vicario's decision making, especially when it comes to dealing with balls into the box has been pathetic.

The Italian has come under thorough scrutiny lately for his error-strewn performances. Composure is one quality that Vicario seems to lack while dealing with balls into the box, although his leadership is something that Tottenham would not want to do without, particularly for the crucial remaining matches.

Spence Dip in Form a Worry for Spurs?

Apart from the own goal against Wolves, Spence has lost his form and his confidence seems to have hit an all-time low.

Spence did not get a good rating following Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 loss away to Chelsea in a London derby a week ago.

Spence started at right-back for Ange Postecoglou’s team but had a tough outing at Stamford Bridge in a game that had two goals ruled out before the Blues found their way past Spurs.

The 24-year-old looked weirdly uncomfortable in his natural position as he dropped what was his worst first half in a long time.
