In a statement posted on his official social media pages, Kalebi acknowledged the overwhelming support and record-breaking gate collection at the venue located in the South C area of Nairobi.

"To give credit where it's due, Shabana FC and their amazing multitude of fans yesterday showed up in a carnival atmosphere at Police Sacco Stadium to register a record gate collection for our beloved Darajani Gogo FC," Kalebi's statement began.

"Even as they soundly beat us on the pitch, despite our young players' best effort, they completed a league double on us, having garnered three goals to nil in both the away and home return fixtures."

Kalebi went on to express his admiration for Shabana, a team that has returned to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) after a 17-year absence.

He recognized their status as one of the footballing community club royalties, with a considerable Kisii fan base from all over the country.

"Our humble Darajani Gogo FC are newbies debutants in the NSL, coming from the Darajani area in Kibra slums," Kalebi stated, providing context for his team's journey.

"Formed as Gogo Boys from among gang youth members in 2014, we have been playing league soccer for the past eight years since 2015, starting from the Sub-County League through County, Regional, Div 2, and Div 1 before debuting in this NSL 2022/2023 season."

Despite the defeat, Kalebi expressed pride in Darajani Gogo FC, hailing them as the emerging top Kibra team.

He acknowledged their position in fifth place on the table with 43 points from 30 matches played in the current season.

Shabana's victory propelled them to the top of the table, securing a three-point lead over their title challengers, Murang'a Seal.
