With Morocco aiming to become the first team to win the CHAN title three times, the stakes could not be higher.

DR Congo, also two-time champions, will be equally eager to make history.

This makes Group A arguably the most competitive of the tournament, placing pressure on the hosts to rise to the occasion in front of a passionate home crowd.

Morocco’s squad arrives in Nairobi with high expectations and the ambition to make history.

After lifting the trophy in 2018 and 2020, they are keen to prove they remain the dominant force in African home-based football.

For Kenya, co-hosting CHAN 2024 alongside Uganda and Tanzania is already a monumental moment.

But advancing beyond the group stage would be a massive statement of progress for the Harambee Stars, especially with support from fans expected to fill the newly refurbished Kasarani stadium.
