The Gunners took a huge step forward in the title race with a win over Fulham.
After a 3-0 win over Fulham, Mikel Arteta has responded to Arsenal fans who have been chanting about winning the Premier League.
The Spaniard praised them and said their passion together with their support is going to be a game changer in their pursuit of the league title.
"I would be singing with them to support the team, that’s for sure! They’ve been exceptional," Arteta told the media after the Sunday away game, as per Metro.
"The amount of people we had coming here, their attitude, their passion, the energy that they’re putting in, is incredible. And we’re going to need that, and that’s a game-changer for us, so thank you!"
The former Manchester City assistant manager also reflected on their win that came courtesy of goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard, as Leandro Trossard grabbed triple assists.
"Really happy. Really tough place to come and a really well organised team," he added.
"I think we dominated the game, we created so many chances, we kept a clean sheet – which was really important – and we won the game in a convincing way, so really happy.
"Big compliment to the team because we deserved to win, we played really well.
"We had a goal disallowed, and psychologically we had to come back from that, but we kept trying, we playing, kept finding the spaces against a really organised team, and overall, really happy.
Gabriel Jesus made a return after around four months out with an injury, and Arteta is happy to have the Brazilian back.
"Big boost. First step today [Sunday], and we didn’t know if it was the right game for him. A few days ago, he said to me, "I’m still missing something".
"Yesterday [Sunday], I looked at him in his eyes, and he said, "I’m ready". So I said, "Okay". So then we had the opportunity to throw him in, which is the first step to giving him that boost.
"He looked free, he generated two big chances straight away, and it’s great to have him back."
Meanwhile, Arsenal have won 72 percent of their Premier League games against Fulham (23/32), their highest win rate against an opponent they've faced 20-plus times in the competition.
