Arsenal are believed to be tracking the progress of contract talks between Manchester City and Ilkay Gundogan, with the Gunners eager to sign the German midfielder if they lose Granit Xhaka this summer.
Arsenal keen on Gundogan signing
Gundogan has been instrumental in Manchester City’s dominance of the Premier League in his time at the club, helping the Cityzens to the 2022/23 league title with eight goals and five assists in 30 games, pipping Arsenal to the title in the process.
His performances have caught the attention of Gunners’ manager Mikel Arteta, who is reportedly interested in bringing the 32-year-old midfielder to the Emirates Stadium when his contract expires in the summer.
