AFC Leopards good run of results was checked by Mara Sugar who inflicted a first loss of the season on them, denying Ingwe a chance to move top of the table.
AFC Leopards missed a chance to go top of the FKF Premier League table when they were handed a first FKF Premier League loss of the season by Mara Sugar, who won 2-0, in Awendo on Saturday.
Ingwe had themselves to blame for missing a host of chances that would have given them the win and a spot at the summit of the log until league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz play on Sunday.
Mara Sugar, coming off three straight draws, lived up to the promise of being a stubborn team as they would not allow Ingwe to break them until the final minutes when they broke Ingwe’s hearts.
