AFC Leopards have designed an enticing player motivation structure that will see Ingwe stars among the highest earning in Kenya when it comes to winning bonuses.
AFC Leopards have resolved to hugely motivate their players as they feel this is the most effective way to get the best out of them.
Ingwe have not won a league title since 1998 with subsequent leadership teams trying without success to bring Premier League glory since but the Boniface Ambani-led team feels it can finally deliver.
Part of their strategy is to ensure the playing unit is well-taken care of and besides paying salaries on time, bonuses is another incentive that they feel will make the players want to win every match.

Ingwe Splashing the Cash to Bring Back Success
“The players should be able to get what they deserve and this is what is motivating the players,” Leopards secretary general Isaac Mulindi said on Sporty FM.
“They should be able to know that if you score a goal, this is the amount of money you will get. Not from the kitty we had before, this is an extra kitty.
“We have about Ksh7 million for bonuses. They are going home with almost Ksh10,000 each [for every win] and we are going for more sponsorship. We have like two more cooking,” he added.
Mulindi says the 12-time Kenyan champions have a grand plan for their players that will see each of them take home up to Ksh30,000 per win in the near future.

AFC Leopards came from behind to beat Shabana 2-1 at Gusii Stadium, with the Harambee Stars forward instrumental in their comeback.
“We want to surprise people. This is going specifically to the players and all the other structures, including the youth and ladies’ team,” Mulindi further said.
AFC Leopards Target Ksh30,000 Bonus Per Player
“We have to have those three to get the [club] licensing, so we will not neglect them. We have to ensure they perform well so we are putting all this together so that these players will end up earning up to Ksh30,000 in a game.”
“This is progressive. As they keep on winning, there is more money. If you draw, it goes back down and you have to work your way up again,” he said.
“We want if you score a goal, there is something you are getting that is good. Not this little stuff that they used to give to one player. It has to be uniform. Everyone has to enjoy the fruits of winning a match. “
