The highly anticipated 2025 FIFA Club World Cup kicks off on Saturday, June 14, with Inter Miami facing Al Ahly at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

All eyes will be on Lionel Messi and his squad—can they navigate their way through Group A and make a deep run in the tournament?

Meanwhile, Real Madrid—arguably the biggest club in world football—enters the competition under new management. Former midfielder Xabi Alonso has taken over from Carlo Ancelotti, bringing fresh tactical ideas to the squad.

The Spanish giants have already strengthened their roster, securing Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen in the mini transfer window ahead of the tournament.

They’re also pursuing Alvaro Carreras from Benfica and one of the most exciting young talents in global football, Franco Mastantuono, the 17-year-old forward from River Plate—both clubs set to join the spectacle in the United States.

Over in France, Paris Saint-Germain arrives as the newly crowned Champions of Europe, having dominated Inter in the Champions League final just two weeks ago. Can they ride their momentum and secure a historic double this summer?

And what about Inter Milan? Reeling from their Champions League final defeat, they now start a new era under Christian Chivu, who replaces Simone Inzaghi—the latter has moved to Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, another team competing in the tournament.

With 32 teams representing six continents, the competition promises an exciting global showcase.

Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa, Ulsan from South Korea, Wydad from Morocco, and Auckland City from New Zealand are among the clubs ready to fight for international glory.
