Gianluigi Donarrumma is set for a move to Man City according to Fabrizio Romano, but two factors still need to go in the transfer's favor.

Gianluigi Donnarumma’s long-awaited switch to the Premier League is edging closer, but two decisive hurdles remain before the Italian shot-stopper can officially call the Etihad Stadium home.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 26-year-old goalkeeper has already agreed personal terms with Manchester City.

The deal would mark one of the most sensational moves of the summer, with Donnarumma set to replace Ederson as Pep Guardiola’s new No.1. However, the transfer is not yet complete, with two major conditions still to be resolved.

Agreement on Transfer Fee

Manchester City must first strike a deal with Paris Saint-Germain, who are willing to let Donnarumma go but initially demanded a fee of around €50 million. Talks are progressing, with City pushing to reduce the final figure below that threshold.

Ederson’s Departure

Equally crucial is the future of Ederson, who has been left out of City’s opening two Premier League games in favor of young English goalkeeper James Trafford.

Negotiations are ongoing with Galatasaray, the club leading the chase for the Brazilian, but no final agreement has been reached.

Donnarumma’s PSG Farewell

Until Ederson’s exit is confirmed, Donnarumma’s move cannot be finalized.

Friday night at the Parc des Princes saw an emotional farewell as Donnarumma played his last game for PSG, where he lifted four Ligue 1 titles, three domestic Cups, two French Super Cups, and the Champions League.

The Italian received a standing ovation from supporters after a narrow 1-0 win over Angers, marking the end of his successful stint in Paris.

What’s Next?

With personal terms already agreed, all eyes now turn to City’s negotiations with PSG and Galatasaray. Should both conditions be met, Donnarumma will become Guardiola’s new first-choice goalkeeper, ushering in a new era between the posts at the Etihad.
