In the BAL Nile Conference, Al Ahli defeats Thunder while APR beats MBB.

In the second day opener of the Basketball Africa League's (BAL) Nile Conference in Kigali, Rwanda, Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya defeated Nairobi City Thunder of Kenya 115-87.

It comes thanks to 30 points from Jean-Jacques Boissy, including 18 from beyond the arc, and 26 points and eight assists from Jaylen Adams.

In the other fixture MBB of South Africa lost against APR of Rwanda 103-81 in the second game.

Al Ahli outscored Nairobi 50-41 and recorded the most points in a single game in BAL history with their second consecutive victory.

Uchenna Iroegbu, who finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, led Nairobi.

APR were led by Aliou Diarra’s 22 points and 14 rebounds, including eight on the offensive end of the floor.

MBB struggled offensively and shot more than 35 percent from the field as they were outscored once more, this time 50-38.

With 20 points, Teafale Lenard Jr. led them, followed by Jovan Mooring with 17 and Pieter Prinsloo with 13.

On Tuesday, the Nile Conference resumes with APR playing Al Ahli and MBB playing Nairobi City Thunder.

In the BAL Playoffs and Finals, which will be held at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa from June 6–14, the top two teams from the Nile Conference and the best third-place team between the third-place team in the Nile Conference and FUS Rabat (Morocco) of the Kalahari Conference will advance.
