The men's 110m hurdles assembled defending champion Grant Holloway, Cordell Tinch, and Jamaica's Orlando Bennett as the favourites to impress at the World Athletics Championships 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.
The heats were nothing short of nerve-wracking, with the reigning Olympic 110mH champion, Grant Holloway, almost missing a spot in the semifinal but he picked himself up and set up a great fight to the end, finishing in 13.52 seconds.
Earlier this season, the indoor 60m hurdles world record holder suffered an injury setback after hurting his knee while doing a heavy front squat.

Dylan Beard and Orlando Bennett headlined the first semifinal, each looking to finish among the top two and qualify automatically or wait to be the two fastest non-automatic qualifiers.
However, it was Orlando Bennett who walked away with the win after a stunning start off the blocks. The Jamaican clocked 13.27 seconds, with Spain's Enrique Llopis coming in second in 13.29 seconds.
The American, Dylan Beard, finished a distant fourth in 13.31 seconds as home talent Shusei Nomoto finished third in 13.31 seconds.

Cordell Tinch, the world number one in 2025, headlined the second heat and, after an impressive run throughout the season and a third-place finish in the heats, the American was looking to cruise to the final.
The American exploded from the blocks and maintained the hot streak, moving very smoothly to the finish line where he clocked 13.16 seconds. He won the Diamond League Meeting final in Zurich and was out to show there is still more in the tank.
Jason Joseph came in second in 13.18 seconds, with Jamaica's Demario Prince rounding off the podium in 13.22 seconds. Italy's Lorenzo Simonelli finished fourth, clocking 13.22 seconds, locking out Dylan Beard from qualifying as the fastest non-automatic qualifier.

Jamaica's Tyler Mason stunned the whole field to claim top honours in the third semifinal, crossing the finish line in a personal best time of 13.12 seconds.
Rachid Muratake, competing on home soil, fought hard for second, crossing the finish line in an impressive 13.17 seconds ahead of Ja'Kobe Tharp, who rounded up the podium in 13.19 seconds.
