IShowSpeed has previoudly expressed his deire to compete at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and his recent interaction with world's fastest man Usain Bolt has sparked interest.

Former Olympic sprinter Justin Gatlin believes internet personality IShowSpeed has the potential to compete at the Olympic trials.

This comes after a recent exchange between IShowSpeed and sprinting legend Usain Bolt, where Bolt praised the YouTuber's athleticism and offered coaching advice.

IShowSpeed recently gained attention for racing against top sprinters like Noah Lyles and Ashton Eaton, earning praise for his surprising speed.

A video message from Bolt further fueled the conversation, with the Jamaican icon commending IShowSpeed's abilities.

Gatlin Gives Verdict

Speaking on the Ready Set Go podcast, Gatlin expressed his impression of IShowSpeed, suggesting the YouTuber could make a serious run at the Olympic trials with dedicated training.

"They got each other's phone numbers, so they're going to talk," Gatlin said as quoted by Sportskeeda.

"So you might see some things from Speed. I mean, Speed might even take it serious enough to where he says I'm going to train for the Olympic trials. So you might see Speed at the Olympic trials, bro."

Gatlin even ventured a prediction for IShowSpeed's potential in the 100m dash.

In a much-hyped 50-meter race in 2024, Noah Lyles, the Olympic champion, defeated internet personality, winning $100,000. 

While Lyles won the internet was abuzz with IShowSpeed's showing in the 50m dash. 

Despite the loss, iShowSpeed expressed confidence in beating Lyles in a rematch and even challenged other athletes like women's 100m champion Sha'Carri Richardson.
