Mary Moraa kickstarts Diamond League campaign

Commonwealth Games champion Mary Moraa will take on a strong field in her first Diamond League race of the season. The dancing queen will descend on the Qatar Sports Club for the very first time.

Moraa hopes to extend her hot streak after claiming the top prize at the Kip Keino Classic. Last season, before the World Championships, Moraa won the Diamond League Meetings in Rabat and Stockholm before stumbling in Monaco.

At the Diamond League Meeting final in Eugene, USA, she finished fourth and ended her long season. In Doha, she will face a tough field which includes Ethiopian rival Habitam Alemu and Great Britain's Jemma Reekie, who recently claimed silver on Scottish home soil at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow.

Timothy Cheruiyot chasing victory

Timothy Cheruiyot has been down with injuries and as he kickstarts his Diamond League campaign, he will be looking to start on a high since this is an Olympic season.

Cheruiyot has always been dominating the Diamond League and this is a great opportunity for him to continue the hot streak. The Kenyan has four Diamond Trophies to his name and is one of the most successful athletes in the series' history.

He comes back to Doha with sweet memories, hoping to impress one more time and bounce back to winning form.

Daryll Neita aiming another win

Great Britain’s Daryll Neita shocked Sha’Carri Richardson at the Diamond League Meeting in Suzhou, China to take the win in the 200m. The Briton now looks forward to winnning her second Diamond League race.

This time around, the Olympian will be competing in the 100m race and there is no doubt that she will be aiming for victory.
